Prepare your kit data

Start with one kit family

Choose a repeatable kit with manageable variations and an owner who can approve the required components. You will not need to model the whole factory to evaluate it.

Bring structured inputs

Exact field names and the import template will be published with the product. These are the kinds of information the first release will need:

• Stable job and order-line identifiers, plus a source revision.
• The number of independently checked kits.
• Known options such as mounting, region or finish.
• Component identifiers, quantities and any explicitly approved alternatives.

Check the labels

Component types must be distinguishable by their identifiers. Preserve leading zeros and case. Ambiguous shared codes and unlabelled items need attention before barcode checking can help.

Keep confidential data out of the interest form

At this stage, describe the problem in general terms. Do not send customer orders, real barcode inventories or proprietary configuration. A supported private evaluation will provide its own data handling arrangements.
